Boarding at St John's
A boarding community has been integral to the life of St John’s ever since the College’s foundation, and currently approximately a quarter of the school population boards. They range in age from 9 to 18 years, and come from a wide variety of backgrounds to join us – some from overseas, many from service families.
The sense of continuity, community and common purpose which characterises the boarding community benefits greatly the College as whole. In turn, the boarders benefit from their interaction with the day pupils who help to bring something of the local community into College.
