Pre-preps get a visit from our local PSCOs

Learning about the Law

Our Pre-preps enjoyed a visit from two Police Support Community Officers (PSCOs) on Tuesday 10 January.  Children from the Nursery up to Year 2 were introduced to our local PSCOs – Katy and Emma, and heard how the PSCOs help and support our local community, and keep us all safe.

Groups discussed what it means to break the law, what an emergency is, and who children should go to if they were lost or in need of help. The PSCOs told the children about their uniforms and explained how their radios work – they even contacted ‘Charlie One’ and classes said ‘Hello’ to the Control Room! Fun was had by all who dressed up in the Police hat and jacket!

PSCO webChildren enjoyed drawing what a stranger might look like to them, and they also had the chance to draw Katy and Emma – the best of the drawings (or the ones that bear the most resemblance) will be displayed in the Station.
