Our Nursery Stars and Reception children visited Waitrose on Thursday 12 January to learn about Supermarkets.

They started with a tour of the warehouse and learned about the freezers and chillers. Afterwards they went on to the shop floor where they looked for healthy food. They visited the Meat and Fish counter where they were shown different types of fish.

 The children were able to taste some healthy snacks and fruit smoothies and they learnt about which countries their snacks had come from. Finally the children were able to buy something at the checkout, where Waitrose staff kindly gave them a bag for life with some goodies in it.
