Senior School extra-curricular activities
At St John’s education is about much more than just the academic curriculum. Great care is taken to identify, nurture and develop the children’s other talents and abilities. No matter what their current or potential strengths, there will be an activity – creative, technological, sporting, intellectual – to suit them.
At the heart of much of this extra-curricular provision is a strong House system. We believe in healthy competition within a supportive environment as a means of developing determination, team spirit, and many other valuable attitudes and skills. All pupils are encouraged to represent their House in at least one area – whether it be in the annual drama competition or in the swimming gala, on the five-a-side pitch or in the quiz competition.
